Im Zentrum steht Mezoued\, eine Volksmusik Tunesiens\, benannt nach den jahrhundertealten Ziegensackpfeifen\, entstanden in den 1950er-Jahren als Musik der Arbeiterklasse und Migrant*innen in Tunis. Lange Zeit gesellschaftlich stigmatisiert\, vereint Mezoued Sufi-Gesänge\, Malouf-Melodien\, arabische Tonleitern und alte Volkslieder. Die Musik handelt von der Härte des Lebens und dem Schmerz der Liebe und will trotzdem vor allem eines: feiern. \nAuf Club Tounsi denkt AMMAR 808 diese festliche Tradition für das 21. At the centre is Mezoued\, a folk music named after the ancient goatskin bagpipes\, which emerged in the 1950s as the music of the working class and migrants in Tunis. Long socially stigmatised\, Mezoued brings together Sufi chants\, malouf melodies\, Arabic scales and old folk songs.
